Expressionism is translated as "the art of the increased expression".
The artists wanted to express their own inner feelings with their paintings.
The artists tried to implement their passionate experiences immediately into the pictures. Disappointment, sadness, joy, fatigue, pain and anxiety should be reflected in the images.
Feelings, emotions and spontaneity, were more important than perfection and good sense.
The representation was abstract, sometimes abstract and figurative.
The painting techniques were varied and the application of paint to the canvas was completed with brushes, perforated containers and pails.

Abstrakter_Expressionismus
unmittelbar ins Bild umzusetzen.
